Fort Dodge PD Partnering With Special Olympics Iowa For Virtual Polar Plunge

The Fort Dodge Police Dept. is again partnering with Special Olympics Iowa for the Polar Plunge. This year’s event will be hedl virtually due to the Covid pandemic.  ThePolar Plunge will be virtual on Saturday, December 5^th.Plungers must register online and raise $75 as usual to officially participate. Registrants who raise the minimum will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a travel mug

Plungers can do their “Plunge” on their own time and at whatever location they like either on or before December 5^th. 

Teams and individuals are encouraged to participate,plungers are encouraged to get creative with their “plunge”—some suggestions offered by SO Iowa include ice bath, garden hose, water balloons, etc. Prizes will be given  for best igloo, best snow angel, most creative plunge, and top fundraiser
