The Fort Dodge Police Department has released information about a convenience store robbery that took place over the weekend. Last night at 11:05 P.M, Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call that the Star Convenience Store located at 115 North 22nd Street in Fort Dodge had just been robbed. Information provided at the time indicated that a male entered the store while presenting a firearm and demanded money.
As officers arrived, they searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone. It was determined that a male entered the store while armed, demanded money, and left in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
The male suspect was described as an adult Black male, wearing dark clothing, sunglasses, and a partial face mask. The Fort Dodge Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and strongly encourage anyone with information to contact them.
