Fort Dodge Police Investigate Monday Night Shooting

(Alpha Media- Brooke Bickford) Fort Dodge Police responding to a report of shots fired last night in the 900 block of 3rd Avenue North discovered a bullet had pierced a gas meter causing the evacuation of that residence.

The call came in at 10:42. According to responding officers, witnesses indicated several shots were fired near 200 North 10th Street and several people were seen running from the scene on foot and in vehicles.

The Fort Dodge Fire Department and MidAmerican Energy arrived on the scene and secured the gas leak. No one was injured.
