Fort Dodge School District Focuses on School Safety

No matter who you are, when it comes to the topic of keeping our schools safe is one we can all agree on.

Next Tuesday the Fort Dodge Community School District is holding a school safety meeting at Fort Dodge Middle School and has invited parents, caregivers and students to be a part of the conversation.

Something that parent Cassidie Black says is a positive step towards ensuring safety within our local schools.

Black says she has been active in discussions since last March with members of the school district about the importance of students being prepared for any emergency situation.

Black says Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener will be on hand to discuss emergency preparedness and what goes into active drills. The event will be held Tuesday at 5:30 at the Fort Dodge Middle School.
