Fort Dodge & St. Edmond Release Summer Schedules, Dodger Softball Preseason #1

Both Fort Dodge Senior High and St. Edmond have released their baseball and softball schedules for this summer. This year’s schedule will be a condensed version with less regular season games than usual due to covid-19 restrictions cutting into the season. However coaches, players, and fans are grateful given the alternative. St. Edmond Baseball and Softball will open at home June 15th hosting Humboldt those games will be after the JV games. St. Edmond JV baseball starts at 5:30 and JV softball at 6 PM that day.  Fort Dodge baseball will open hosting Johnston on June 17th in a double header slated to start at 5 PM. Dodger baseball will be without the services of Senior Catcher Shane Halligan who had off season surgery but return Senior Outfielders Nick Bice and Brycen Bell among others.

Dodger Softball will open Tuesday June 16th hosting Sioux City- Heelan a 7 Pm scheduled start time at Rogers Park. Fort Dodge will open the season as the #1 ranked team in Iowa. Dodgers have garnered the #1 preseason ranking for the 1st time in program history. They return 6 of the 8 everyday positional starters and their top two pitchers. High expectations for the Dodgers but rightfully so after winning 35 games last year. Dodgers are coming off a 2019 State Tournament Appearance State under Coach Andi Adams who is slated to be inducted in the Hall Of Fame this year.
