Fort Dodge Women’s Shelter Founder Says She Is Leaving Legacy in Good Hands

The founder of a local women’s homeless shelter is leaving.

Ashley Vaala of Lotus Community Project Incorporated told Alpha Media News that after years of helping women overcome obstacles in the community she will be moving out of the area. 

Vaala says she will be leaving the center in good hands though as current co-director, Ashley Bishop, who has been a staff member since Lotus was formed, will take over when she leaves. Alpha Media News will talk with both ladies next week about future plans for the center and discuss how one local ladies dream has made such an amazing impact to so many.
