Fort Dodge Wrestler Ayala Signs With The University Of Iowa

Fort Dodge Senior Wrestler Drake Ayala signed his letter of intent Wednesday to wrestle at Iowa. Ayala verbally committed to the Hawkeyes back in the spring. He chose Iowa with Iowa State, Ohio State, Michigan, Minnesota and North Carolina among his final list, after being offered by virtually every program in the country. Ayala is the #1 ranked high school wrestler in the country in his weight class. This off season he competed in high profile national events Texas and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina winning both. Ayala goes into his Senior season as a two time defending State Champion. His career record at Fort Dodge Senior High is 136-2, with his last loss coming in his Freshman year.
