Gov. Reynolds On High School Summer Sports And Re-opening Businesses

Governor Kim Reynolds held a press conference on Tuesday. In that press conference she was asked if she has been in contact with the governing bodies for high school sports in Iowa and if their will be high school sports this summer.

While Reynolds did not give a definitive answer on whether their will be sports during the summer, she state that her office is still working to make a determination. She went on to say that hair salons and barbershops can re-open statewide starting Friday May 15th.

Reynolds issued a new proclamation that extends the businesses she allowed to re-open in 77 counties on May 1st to Iowa’s other 22 counties. In addition to salons and barbershops all Iowa restaurants can re-open dining area but at half capacity and with other restrictions.
