Governor Reynolds Address COVID-19 At Thursday Press Conference

Governor Kim Reynolds held a press conference addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. The Governor pleaded with all Iowans to take simple action to prevent the spread of the virus.

There has been talk about making sure healthcare providers around the state have the necessary personal protective equipment they need during this time. Reynolds says her office is working feverishly on that.

The Governor responded to a question regarding rumors that she is considering a “Shelter In Place Order”.

A “Shelter In Place Order” would put mandatory restrictions on the movement of the public to essential functions. The Governor’s comments are courtesy of the Iowa PBS Youtube Channel. The Governor says that her office will continue to closely monitor the situation and will provide updates in a timely and responsible manner.
