Caden Duncan knew coming into this season their would be growing pains for his young team. Greene County lost a bunch of personnel from last year’s team that made the State Quarterfinals. Coach Duncan set out to develop the new pieces to the puzzle of success for his program this season. The schedule for Greene County early tested Duncan’s young squad as they played both South Central Calhoun and Atlantic, two teams who are still alive in the playoffs. The Rams dropped both of those games and sat at 1-2 after 3 weeks, since then though they haven’t lost and have reeled off 6 wins in a row. Friday Night Greene County shutout Clarinda 24-0 to advance into the 3rd of the 2A playoffs. Coach Duncan joined Rob Jones on the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” Saturday Morning. He talked about their performance against Clarinda in the playoff win, the maturation and development of his offensive line and what improvements need to be made moving forward.
