Both South Central Calhoun and Fort Dodge were in action Tuesday night in games heard on Alpha Media Fort Dodge stations.  The Dodgers were swept at Des Moines- Roosevelt and the Titans had a home sweep of OABCIG. The Dodger girls fell to Roosevelt 72-43. Roosevelt led by 4 after the 1st but in the 2nd they out score Fort Dodge 22 to 13 to take a 13 point lead into the half. Roosevelt’s trio of guards who are all Freshmen and Sophomores were the difference in the game combining for 49 points. Roosevelt would outscore the Dodgers 33-17 in the 2nd half including an 18-8 3rd quarter in which they would pull away and lead by 23 going into the 4th. Roosvelt Freshman Ariana Jackson had a game 22 points, Amaya Davidson and Trinity Cheatom added 14 and 13 respectively for Roosevelt. The Dodgers were led by Tory Bennett’s 16 and Aleaha Pommer added 12. The Dodger boys fell in heartbreaking fashion 56-54.  The Dodgers are 1-3 this season in games decided by 3 points or less.The Dodgers led by as many as 10 points early in the 4th but couldn’t seal the deal. The Dodgers would get career highs from Dayson Clayton and Avery Martin with 17 and 14 respectively. The Roughriders got a game high 19 from Rome Hellams Roosevelt would outscore the Dodgers 18-11 in the 4th to take the win. Late turnovers hurt the Dodgers severely and Roosevelt tied the game at 54 with under a minute left. Roosevelt Senior Antonio Alzheimer had the game winning bucket in the closing seconds.

The South Central Calhoun Titans Girls got their 2nd straight win in as many nights knocking off OABCIG 52-45. The Titans had 3 players in double figures Riley Batta with 16, Emma Mckinney with 15 and Brielle Korleski with 10. The SCC Boys team got a win 52-43. Titans had a 25-19 lead at the half and were able to maintain and grow that lead in the 2nd half. Zane Nuebaum had a game high 28 for South Central Calhoun, Cooper Dejean had 24 to lead OABCIG.
