High School Basketball Results From Dec. 16th and Preview For Dec. 17th

Monday night the South Central Calhoun Titans were in action at Southeast Valley. The girls game was anticipated match up with SCC coming in unbeaten and Southeast Valley coming in at 4-1. In the 1st half the game lived up to the expectation of a hard fought and compelling game as SCC took a 25-19 lead into the locker room. The 2nd half though was a different story and was all Titans. SCC outscored Southeast Valley 38-12 after the break including a 21-2 4th quarter, to pull away and win the game 63-31. Riley Batta led South Central Calhoun with 15 and Emma Mckinney added 15. In the boys gae Southeast Valley would come out on top 68-58. The Titans had the lead at the half 24-22. However, the Jags would outscore the Titans 46-34 in route to the win. Southeast Valley was led by Kolson Kruse led Southeast Valley with 18, 15 of those coming in the 2nd half. Aaron Graves added 16 for the jags. For SCC Cole Corey and Brennan Holder both had 17.

Both Fort Dodge and St. Edmond are in action Tuesday night both with home games. The Gaels are hosting Algona tonight. The St. Edmond girls are still looking for their 1st win on the season. The boys are looking to get back in the win column and to shake off a hard fought 4 point loss against Webster City. You can hear the St. Edmond vs Algona games tonight on “Snowy” 99.7 , a 6:15 PM scheduled tip in the girls game with the boys to follow. On 92 Rock (also streaming live here on our website)  The Fort Dodge Dodgers are at home hosting Des Moines Hoover. The Dodgers girls and boys have lost 5 straight are looking to break losing skids. The Dodger girls will face a non-ranked opponent for the 1st time in the last 4 games. The pregame show for the girls game is scheduled for 6pm The Dodger boys are also looking to get off the snide as they lost a close one their last home game to Ames 47-39. Dodger Boys Coach Tom Daniel says that execution is the key coming into tonight’s game.
