High School Football Kicks Off Under The Lights Tonight
Teams from around the area will kick off the 2020 football season under the lights tonight. Alpha Media Sports has three games on the airwaves tonight. On “92 Rock” Nik Moser makes his head coaching debut as he leads Fort Dodge on the field at Dodger Stadium. Dodgers host Ames and are looking for their 5th straight win in the series and the 8th in the last 10 meetings. Ames has a new Head Coach in Kevin Ferguson and a lot of new personnel. That poses issues in game 1 in terms of being able to scout and game plan for your opponent. Coach Moser says though he thinks tonight’s game is more about what the Dodgers do than their opponent. Tonight’s broadcast starts at 6:45 PM with the pregame show and kick off is set for 7 PM.
On 105-9 “The Beach” The South Central Calhoun Titans will open their season against Carroll Kuemper. Join veteran sportscasters Mark Williamson and Brian Peters for all the action starting with the pregame show at 6:45 and a 7 pm kick. Titans come ranked #2 in the preseason poll, that’s their highest preseason ranking in school history. SCC Coach Brian Case says while the respect of that ranking is nice, it doesn’t mean that much.
Coach Matt Dillon will lead St. Edmond into their opener at Eagle Grove tonight. Casey Meiners will have the call of the game on “Sunny” 99.7 for a 6:45 PM pregame and 7 Pm kick off. Dillon is in year 3 at St. Edmond and has high expectations for his club this season.
All three games are available here on our website as well.
