Basketball season is now well underway for teams around Central Iowa. For several teams in the area, Tuesday night December 3rd represented the 2nd game in as many nights. In games heard on 105.9 “The Beach” The South Central Calhoun Titans girls and boys team weres both winners Tuesday night. The SCC girls with a home win over South Hamilton 51-29. They outscored South Hamilton 25-14 in the 2nd half to pull away. In the boys game SCC would down South Hamilton 65-41. Titans led by just 54 at the half but would outscore South Hamilton 35-16 after the break to take control of the game. Zane Neubaum led the way for South Central Calhoun with 16. South Central Calhoun is back in action Friday at East Sac County. The girls game is scheduled to tip at 6 PM and the boys will follow, you can hear every SCC game on 105.9 “The Beach” and here on our website.

The Fort Dodge girls team opened their season Tuesday with a 68-31 road win at Des Moines-Lincoln. Fort Dodge started strong forcing 15 1st half turnovers and converting in transition off the turnovers. They would build a 25 point lead going into the half. 3 Dodger players in double digits, led by Tory Bennett with 15 , Cheyenne Miller- Hameed and Jalen Adams both added 12 each. The Dodger boys would fall to Des Moines Lincoln 64-31. Fort Dodge would go cold as the game went on and struggled offensively. The Dodgers trailed just 13-11 after the 1st quarter. However, they were outscored in the 2nd quarter 17-8 and 12-4 in the 3rd to find themselves trailing by 19 after 3 quarters. Ty Kershaw led Fort Dodge with 7 points, Asle Thorson and Monterius Abrams-Altman with 6 each. Fort Dodge will be back in action Friday at Ankeny. The girls game is scheduled to tip at 6:15 PM with the boys to follow catch every Dodger game on 92.1 FM and here on our website.
