High School Mat Report For 1-8: Fort Dodge Handles Mason City, St. Edmond Gets Win

Both Fort Dodge and St. Edmond both got wins on Thursday night. The Dodgers had no trouble as they dominated Mason City 68-9. Fort Dodge was able to win the 100th anniversary installment of Iowa’s oldest rivalry. The Dodgers had seven wrestlers win by pin, two by technical fall, and one by major decision. Drake and Dru Ayala, Tucker Pederson, Ben Egli, Collin Munter, Freshman Cal Hartman and Kody Cook all scored pin fall wins. Dreyzon Phillips and Freshmen Kane Butrick  had technical falls and Lane Cowell won by major decision.

St. Edmond got a win over Coon Rapids-Bayard 18-12 as part of a four team event. Iowa Falls-Alden and Roland-Story were the other teams involved. Ronnie Orres got a pin victory against Coon Rapids-Bayard. Tyler Rossmanith got a pin fall win on the night as well.
