Holly Jolly Christmas Project Prepares to Provide 50 Fort Dodge Families with Christmas Trees

A project that began as an idea that has grown into a full on Christmas Tree giving project in Omaha will now make it’s holiday debut this year in Fort Dodge

The Holly Jolly Christmas Project began as an idea that kept tugging at Fort Dodge native, Angie Heddinger Slaughter’s heart and became a reality three years ago, as she and her family spend a major portion of the holiday season gathering Christmas Tree Kits and distributing them to families in need.

She says Katie and Matt Royster of Fort Dodge reached out to her this year to see if they could bring the project to the folks in FD and will be helping about 50 families this year. The cost of a tree kit for each family is about 45 dollars and donations are still needed to help make this Holly Jolly Christmas Project Fort Dodge edition a success.
