Tuesday night was night jam packed with action in area high school basketball. The results were a mixed bag for the 3 schools carried on the Alpha Media Fort Dodge stations. On “92 Rock” The Fort Dodge Dodgers got a road sweep at Des Moines East. The Dodger girls  had a thrilling win in OT 57-56 on a Cheyenne Miller-Hameed buzzer beating jumper. The Dodgers trailed by 3 with about 30 seconds left in OT and finished on a 4-0 run to win it. Miller-Hameed’s buzzer beater was 2 of her team high 18, Aleaha Pommer had 15 including two clutch free throws in the final minute of OT. Jalen Adams had a season high 14 for the Dodgers, Rachel Puok led Des Moines East with a game high 22. The Fort Dodge girls have now won 3 of their last 4. The Dodger boys snapped a 16 game losing streak with a 71-54 win over DM- East. The Dodgers outscored Des Moines- East 24-15 in the 4th to pull away. Ty Kershaw led the way for the Dodgers with 25, Carson Peterson had his 3rd double digit scoring effort in 4 games with 13. Asle Thorson had a season high 11 and Drake Callon added 10 for the Dodgers.

The South Central Calhoun Titans got a split at home with East Sac County on “105-9 The Beach”. The Titan girls got a big 4th quarter outscoring East Sac County 21-13 to come away with a 58-48 win. Riley Batta led the way for SCC with a game high 18. East Sac County would earn a season sweep of South Central Calhoun in the boys game. The Titans led by 10 at the half but East Sac would outscore them in the 2nd half 51-39 in the 2nd and go on to win 79-77. 4 Titans in double figures and 3 East Sac County players in double figures in the game. The loss snapped a 12 game winning streak for South Central Calhoun.

On “Sunny” 99.7 The St. Edmond Gaels dropped both their girls and boys senior night games to Iowa Falls Alden. The St. Edmond girls fell 36-30 after Iowa Falls-Alden hit two late 3 point shots. Leah Neverman led the Gaels with 14. The boys game would be tied after the 1st quarter but Iowa Falls Aden would outscore the Gaels 54-37 afer the 1st quarter. Iowa Falls-Alden would go on to win 72-55. Cael Kolacia would lead St. Edmond with 12. Karson Sharar would led Iowa Falls-Alden with a game high 26, Logan Aldinger added 24.
