Humboldt County Man Apprehended After Police Chase Monday Night

A Humboldt County man is facing charges after evading police earlier this week, The chase started just before 9 PM Monday, originating in Fort Dodge and ending in Humboldt County. According to police reports, The Fort Dodge PD attempted to stop 55 year old Troy Habhab of Dakota City. He refused to stop and continued driving through Webster County into Humboldt County. Law enforcement deployed stop sticks but Habhab kept driving into Humboldt city limits. Stop sticks were again used, Habhab then drove into Dakota City. A tire on the vehicle he was driving went flat and he exited the vehicle attempting  to run on foot. Police reports say, officers subdued Habhab by using a taser on him and were able to bring him into custody. The Monday Night chase lasted about 30 minutes. Habhab did have an existing warrant in Humboldt County and will now face multiple charges stemming from the chase.
