Through 4 weeks of this season, Humboldt Football is experiencing a renaissance under Coach Derrick Elman. The Wildcats stunned quite a few folks with a week 1 win over a then ranked Algona squad and followed that with wins in impressive fashion over Storm Lake and Boone. That set up week 4’s showdown with ranked and unbeaten Webster City. Humboldt fell in that game 21-14 but proved to people in the area what they are already believe, which is they are a program that is turning the corner.
