There are two candidates for the position of police chief in Fort Dodge and both of them spent Wednesday interviewing with city officials.

They are Fort Dodge Police Department Captain Dennis Quinn and New Haven,  Missouri Police Chief Christopher Hammon.

Fort Dodge City Manager David Fierk says Captain Quinn and Chief Hammon were not the only to apply.

The person chosen will take over for Chief Roger Porter who is retiring next month.
