Investigation Underway In Ames Following Toddler’s Death

An investigation is underway after the death of a toddler in Ames last weekend. The Ames Police Dept. was called out to a residence there last Saturday, to respond to a medical call. The toddler was flown to a Des Moines Area hospital. The toddler later died, and police say the death was surrounded by suspicious circumstances. The identity and exact age of the child has not been released. As of Thursday, no arrests had been made in the case.
