Iowa And Northwestern Meet Tuesday With Both Teams Ranked For 1st Time Ever

Iowa is set to host Northwestern on Tuesday and it will mark the first time in series history that both teams are ranked coming in. Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery has been vocal about his team needing to show consistency on the defensive end. The Hawks had a nice defensive effort in a win vs Purdue, but took a step back falling on the road to Minnesota in OT, allowing over 100 points.

Northwestern has been a major surprise in the early conference slate as they sit at 3-0 in conference play. McCaffery attributes Northwestern’s success to their experience.
