The football season for college programs at all levels has been unlike any season before it. Programs at all levels had to make some major adjustments to how they normally do things. The FBS level played in the fall primarily with no fans or with very limited attendance. Spring season were the reality for every level below the FBS. NJCAA (or Juco) member Iowa Central played their 8 game regular season in Spring. Iowa Central AD and former Head Football Coach Kevin Twait, still managed to piece together a quality schedule. He did so despite not having the normal ties with the Jayhawk Conference, as the Knasas Juco schools only played each other due to the 8 game season limit. Head Coach Jesse Montalto guided Iowa Central to a 6-3 season, a bowl game win over a ranked opponent, and a top 10 finish for the 1st time in his tenure there. Montalto spoke with Rob Jones to talk about this unprecedented season, the bowl game win and the top 10 finish. The entire conversation is below.
