The NJCAA has announced a plan that will move upcoming almost all fall sports seasons to the spring. Iowa Central is a member school of the organization that means they will shift all of their fall programs to Spring 2021 with the exception of Cross Country. All the fall sports programs will be able to train and practice on campus during the fall. Cross Country and Half Marathon athletes will still compete in fall with their 1st meets in late August. Football will be permitted to hold fall scrimmages with other schools if it is deemed safe to do so by both schools. Here’s Iowa Central Athletic Director Kevin Twait’s reaction to the plan.

Football games for Iowa Central are now slated to begin in Mid-March, no announcement has been made on whether the season will have as many games as originally planned or not.
