Iowa Corn farmer participated in the virtual 2021 Commodity Class. The online delegation consisted of member of the Iowa Corners Growers Association (or ICGA). A key task for the ICGA at the Commodity Classic is speaking in support of policies and actions for the the National Corn Growers Association (or NCGA). That helps the NCGA t implement and establish policy at the federal level to benefit Iowa farmers.
ICGA President Carl Jardon said ” Each year, the ICGA policy process starts with a grassroots approach through our membership survey and at local round table meetings. The resolutions then move to the ICGA Annual Summit held in August. Then on to the national policy development process at the NCGA’s Corn Congress at the Commodity Classic. These olicy positions set the framework for our federal efforts and directly influence our direction for years to come”.
