Iowa Gets Home Win Over Northwestern In Ranked Clash Tuesday

Iowa basketball had little trouble with ranked Northwestern getting an 87-72 win in Iowa City Tuesday. The Hawks built a 9 point 1st half advantage to lead 45-36 at the break. Hawks turned it over just 8 times on the night and were plus 4 in turnover margin. Both teams shot well from deep making over 40% of their 3 point attempts. Pete Nance led four Northwestern players in double figures with a game high 21. Iowa had four in double figures as well as Jordan Bohannon returned to form for Iowa for the 1st time since his injury last year. “Jobo” led Iowa with a game high 24, Cj Fredrick added 19 and Luka Garza added 16 pts and 6 boards, Iowa is now 8-2 on the season, they’ll be back in action Saturday. It will be another ranked match up for Iowa as they travel to take on Rutgers.
