Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz On Conference’s Decision To Play This Fall

Iowa Football Head Coach Kirk Ferentz made an appearance Wednesday on the Big Ten Network. Coach Ferentz says the announcement the conference is going to play this fall is welcomed news to the players and coaches.

Ferentz is happy to have some clarity on the future of the season.

The conference is now slated to begin play the weekend of October 24th. The season will be an 8 game regular season with no bye weeks and the conference title game will be on Dec. 19th. Also on Dec. 19th all conference teams will play an extra cross division game in which they will be seeded based on the order of finish in each division. Games will be played without fans in attendance at on campus sites throughout the conference. The schedule is expected to be released in the coming days.
