Iowa Man Pleads Not Guilty To Harassing Governor Reynolds
A Stuart man has been charged with harassing Governor Kim Reynolds. 48 year old, Harvey Eugene Hunter entered a not guilty plea to a charge of 1st degree harassment in court on Wednesday. Police say, the charge stems from Hunter leaving the Governor a long voicemail that heavily contained profanity.
According to court documents, the voicemail was left by Hunter at the Governor’s Office on January 5th. Hunter was apparently incredibly angry about the covid-19 regulations in the state at the time. In the voicemail, Hunter refereed to covid-19 as a “scam”. He also stated he felt, Governor Reynolds deserved to die for imposing covid related regulations.
