The Chief Justice of The Iowa Supreme Court has passed at the age of 66. Mark Cady of Fort Dodge passed away Friday after having a heart attack. Cady first came to Fort Dodge in 1979 as a law clerk, then became a district judge in 1983. In 1994, he began working in The Iowa Court Of Appeals. He then served On The Iowa Supreme Court beginning in 1998 and did so until his passing. He was selected Chief Justice in 2011. Many public officials both here locally and around Iowa have expressed their sadness at the news , as well as conveyed their condolences to The Cady family.
