ISU Coach Steve Prohm Comments After Being Handled By #14 Texas Tuesday Night

A slow start doomed Iowa State in their regular season home finale. Texas used a 23-4 first half run to take control as the 14th ranked Longhorns cruised to an 81-67 win in Ames. ISU Coach Steve Prohm says that opening stretching was the difference.

The Cyclones had 17 turnovers and made just eight of 28 from three point range.

The Cyclones struggled in the 1st half against the patented Texas full court pressure. Coach Prohm says it’s really the first time they have had issues with turnovers in the backcourt.

Iowa State is still searching for their 1st win in Big 12 Conference play.  The Cyclones are back in action Thursday in Lubbock. They’ll take on the Red Raiders for a 6 PM tip off, on your home for Cyclone Basketball “True Country” 540 KWMT. (The comments from Steve Prohm are courtesy of Radio Iowa Sports)
