Life Serve and Alpha Media Holiday Blood Drive Is This Week.

This week you will have two chances to roll up your sleeve and save a life with Life Serve and Alpha Media during our holiday blood drive.

On Thursday, Fort Frenzy will be turned into a blood donation center for a few hours as people are welcomed to donate from 11 until 3:30.

On Friday, you early birds will get a chance to donate beginning at 6:30 am until 1:30. 

Claire DeRoin of Life Serve spoke with Jay Thomas on the Mix 94.5 Morning Show about how the extra day was very needed:

“We had to this year expand our normal Alphas Media blood drive to two days because one day could not contain Fort Dodge blood donors. It’s the time of the year 

Where people usually don’t want to donate or they’re out of town or busy or have plans

But it’s just really awesome that blood donors are stepping up to give blood because if you need a blood transfusion you can’t schedule it.”

DeRoin explains what you need to do if you would like to donate:

“All you have to do is go to our Facebook, Twitter, website click on donate blood type in Fort Dodge and that will pop up. Or you can give us a call at 800-287-4903. 

All you need to know before donating book an appointment make sure you’re hydrated, eat a light meal

Please don’t fast. Make sure you eat and are hydrated and have rested up.”

Most spots are full for Thursday but there are still appointments available for Friday.

All donors will get a “Sleighin It” festive holiday shirt.
