Lifeworks Community Services is an organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities in the area. Lifeworks Charitable Foundation is the fundraising arm of the organization and they are in the midst of their virtual fundraiser. They kicked off the fundraiser last Thursday Oct. 29th. The fundraiser will run Nov. 4th, 5th and 6th. The virtual fundraiser consists of video in the Lifeworks Facebook Page that stream live at 7 Pm each night of the fundraiser. The videos themselves are free to view but donations are accepted and encouraged to help them raise money to further their mission. Wednesday Night the video will consist of Food and Beer Lessons. As the chef from Iowa Central will be demonstrating how to make different dishes and their will be a lesson on craft beer featuring Cameron Nelson, a board member of the organization. Thursday Night they will present a video that will be a talent show type video featuring various performers and performances. They have a silent auction in conjunction with this fundraiser as well.
