Local Business Steps Up To Carry On Tradition Of Jamar’s Car Shows

After we first broke the news earlier this week that Jamar’s owner Jerry Jordison would no longer be the holding their usual car shows. Another family owned local business has stepped up to carry on the legacy. Fort Dodge Ford-Toyota has announced they will begin hosting the car shows this summer. Matt Johnson of Fort Dodge Ford-Toyota says they are excited to keep the tradition alive.

For this year the shows will be the first Friday of July and August, skipping the month of June due to covid-19. In future years they plan to have the shows on the traditional first Friday schedule for June,July and August. Johnson says they know it’s a large undertaking but it’s one they are looking forward to.

He says that after four decades the car shows have become part of the fabric of summer here in the area.

The first car show this year is scheduled to be held at Fort Dodge Ford-Toyota on July 3rd.
