Local Officials Pay Tribute To Retired Police Chief Kevin Doty

The Fort Dodge Police Dept. broke the news Friday of the passing of retired Fort Dodge Chief Of Police Kevin Doty. In the statement they released they noted his service and commitment to the Dept. Doty retired in 2017 and moved from Fort Dodge to be closer to his family. After the news of his passing Mayor Matt Bemrich appeared on “Devine Intervention” with Mike Devine on KVFD AM 1400 to pay tribute to Chief Doty. Here are his comments.

Representative Mike Sexton appeared on the same show and weighed in with his opinion of Chief Doty and hos work as Police Chief.

Kevin Doty served in the Fort Dodge Police Dept. For over 3 decades. We here at Alpha Media Fort Dodge send our heart felt condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
