A warning was sent out from the Fort Dodge Family Community Credit Union about a text scam that was affecting many of its members. 

Scams like this are very common now and can say they are from area police departments, local businesses and the worst may be from Amazon. Scam artists are relentless.

  1. Do not click on a link
  2. Absolutely do not give them your information
  3. Do not give them money
  4. Do not keep it a secret if you do. Tell family and the police that you need help

*They will use what you tell them against you and they will use fear of a faulty charge to get YOU to make contact with THEM! If you have been subject of a scam report it to your local police department.
