The staff at an area school has banded together to make donations to brighten Christmas for area children. Last week, the staff at Cooper Elementary in Fort Dodge donated six bikes to the “Bikes For Tykes” program. The program is currently going on, as Fort Dodge Ford and Alpha Media Fort Dodge are once again partnering together. The goal is to provide bikes to children served by Upper Des Moines Opportunity in Webster and the surrounding counties. Donations can be made at Fort Dodge Ford or to the Alpha Media Fort Dodge offices at 200 North 10th St. The bikes donated by the staff at Cooper Elementary were in memory of former Fort Dodge School Board Member Steve Springer, the late husband of Cooper School Nurse Juli Springer.
