Local Veteran Prepare For Trip From Fort Dodge to Nations Capital

This Saturday local veterans will take off from the Fort Dodge Regional Airport for a whirlwind trip to the nation’s capital.

This Saturday’s Honor Flight will include 112 veterans including those who served during the Vietnam and Korean Wars and also during peacetime.

Executive Administrative Assistant for the Fort Dodge Regional Airport Sara Rustvold has been involved in the Honor Flights in the past and has seen first hand how special the trip is.

The veterans will board the flight Saturday morning at around 5:30 am and will return Saturday night… landing at 10:40 pm:

The Honor Flight is made possible through local fundraising efforts throughout the community.
