Thursday Sept. 2nd marks the anniversary of the end of World War II. The war ended when Japan signed a peace treaty that signified their formal surrender. In honor of the anniversary, Dream Flights has launched their Operation September Freedom Tour to honor World War II vets. Thursday, the tour will honor Manson resident Donald Patz.
Patz served as an Army Corporal in the Philippines and Japan during World War II. Thursday, Patz will be honored with a free flight on a restored World War II era plane. The flight is scheduled to depart from the Fort Dodge Airport Thursday at 10 AM.
