According to The Iowa State Patrol, one man died at the scene of a 2 vehicle collision south of Pomeroy Tuesday morning. 61 year old Gary Pudenz of Lytton was driving westbound on Iowa Hwy. 7 , he then attempted a left hand turn at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Hwy 4. His vehicle then collided with a semi truck driven by 21 year old Cherokee resident Mitchell Stief. The accident was reported just before 10 AM Tuesday. Pudenz would pass away at the scene, Stief would suffer minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the collision.
