The man who was injured in the Tuesday explosion at a home here in Fort Dodge has now been identified. A statement issued by the Fort Dodge Police Dept. Thursday morning identified the man as 43 year old Robert Olson. Investigators believe Olson was handling some type of homemade explosive device when it unexpectedly detonated. Olson suffered injuries in the incident and was taken to Unity Point Fort Dodge then transported to University Of Iowa Hospital. The statement issued by Police says that Olson could potentially be facing criminal charges but that has not been determined as of the time of this report.
