McCaffery Preparing For Multiple Defensive Looks vs Oregon Monday

The Iowa Hawkeyes got a win over Grand Canyon 86-74 on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament. The Hawks built an early advantage and led 42-31 at the half. They coupled hot outside shooting with ball security in route to the win. The Hawkeyes will take on Oregon on Monday in the 2nd round and Coach Fran McCaffrey expects multiple looks from Oregon defensively.

Oregon advanced after their 1st round opponent VCU withdrew due to Covid issues. Even though Oregon didn’t have to play a first round game, Iowa Guard Jordan Bohannon says he doesn’t feel it is much of an advantage.

In the first round win, Iowa got a game high 24 from Luka Garza and he feels that Oregon will come ready to play on Monday.
