Ceremonies statewide on Memorial Day were held to recognize veterans who gave their life for our freedom. Captain Lucas Murphy opened a ceremony on Monday morning at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Governor Kim Reynolds addressed the crowd watching online and in person at the cemetery.
Reynolds says every American owes a debt of gratitude to veterans for their sacrifices.
