Monday Night Shooting In Des Moines Results In Critical Injury For 2 Year Old Child

Police in Des Moines say a 2 year old child was critically injured after a shooting Monday Night. Officer from the Des Moines PD reponded to a home around 11 PM Monday, after reports of gun shots. Police discovered dozens of rounds were fired into the home, they found a 2 year old that suffered a gunshot wound. Later a vehicle was found wrecked in Dallas County that Police say may be connected to the shooting. Police say five suspects were detained and two weapons were recovered in the early morning hours on Tuesday. As of the time of this report, the suspects had not been identified and the child remained hospitalized in critical condition.
