Mouton Becomes 1st National Champ In Iowa Central Women’s Swimming History
Iowa Central Men’s and Women’s Swimming wrapped up their season with tremendous performances at the NJCAA Nationals. Magali Mouton made history, becoming the first ever National Champion for Triton Women’s Swimming. Mouton claimed gold in the three different breaststroke events.
Lily Wright set a new school record in the 200 Breaststroke. The Iowa Central woman had a 3rd place national finish in the team standings.
For the men, Kyle Mckenzie set a new school record and had a bronze finish in the 200 Breaststroke. The Triton Men’s 400 relay team took silver. As a team, the Triton Men finished as the National Runner Up.
Joe Plane was named National Men’s Coach Of The Year.
