The trial of a prisoner who is charged with a murder that occurred at Fort Dodge Correctional Facility is set for later this month. 45 year old, Eric Hall is charged with the murder of 59 year old, Thomas Andrew Daleske.

In June of 2020, Daleske was found in his cell. The autopsy ruled the death was a homicide. The criminal complaint says video surveillance footage from the prison shows Hall going into Daleske’s cell prior to his death. The Iowa DCI says Hall admitted to the murder of Daleske, in an interview.

Daleske was serving a sentence of over 4 decades for charges of sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child. Hall is serving time for 3rd degree burglary, he was originally scheduled to be released in 2023. Hall has rejected a plea deal for a charge of 2nd degree murder and will face the charge of 1st degree murder.
