(Alpha Media – Brooke Bickford) For the past several months, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office has been coordinating with IXP Corporation of New Jersey, to complete the transition of the 911 Emergency Communication Center from the control of the corporation to the control of the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office named the new director of communications.

According to Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener, Brian Hitchcock will be the Communications Director.

Hitchcock was most recently employed by the City of Peoria

Currently, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office is planning on retaining current IXP employees and welcoming them to Webster County beginning July 1st 2022.
