When a long time pizza place in Fort Dodge said it would be closing its doors for good, one business and its owners decided it was time for them to offer the pizza lovers of Fort Dodge a solution they couldn’t refuse. Godfather’s Pizza had been in Fort Dodge for over 44 years when the news was revealed that they would be closing. That got Jordon McCubbin and the folks at Fort Frenzy thinking about how they could make Godfathers work at their facility and keep it in town.
“So one of the first things we did is we went in there and we purchased the old oven, the old dough roller.” McCubbin says. “We thought it was important if we were going to continue this tradition we needed the same equipment they have been using for 44 years.”
McCubbin says they are a little ways away from opening yet, but once they do it will be worth the wait.
“We are still shooting for early 2022. I’m anticipating a quarter one opening.” McCubbin said. “We’re patient and we want to do it right and it is important that it’s done right.”
McCubbin said there will be a full menu, dine-in, carryout, drive up, delivery and online ordering.
