New Online Marketplace Helps Connect Iowans With Small Businesses During Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic is hampering in person shopping this holiday season. Shop Iowa is a new online marketplace that is providing consumers the opportunity to help small businesses around Iowa. Staci Ballard is the spokesperson for ShopIowa.com and she says the idea to is to provide larger scale online exposure for Iowa small businesses.

Ballard says that using Shop Iowa is a win-win situation for Iowans.

Ballard says they have partnered with over 350 businesses statewide and it’s easy for small business owners to find out more about becoming a part of the marketplace.

The National Retail Federation says that 96% of retailers nationwide expect an increase in online purchases this holiday season due to the pandemic.
