A trio of members of the Iowa State Patrol’s Tactical Team have been placed on paid leave. The officers were involved in a fatal shooting Monday march 16th in Webster City. The incident occurred after officers responded to a call at a Webster City residence, of a man who was holding a woman hostage. Police say the man threatened to shoot the woman , officers then shot and killed him. Paid leave is normal protocol during the investigation of officer involved shootings. The identity of the man who was killed is expected to be released Wednesday or Thursday.
