One Arrested, One Being Sought In Fort Dodge Shooting

One person is in custody and another is being sought in the ongoing murder investigation stemming from a shooting Friday Night on the west side of Fort Dodge. The Victim has now been identified as 28 year old Mohammed Yaqoub of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He died from multiple gunshot wounds, police believe the victim was visiting the area and did not reside in or around Fort Dodge. a 16 year old male was arrested Saturday on a charge of Aiding and Abetting 1st Degree Robbery. The identity of the person arrested was not released due to the age of the offender. Warrants have been issued for 19 year old Fort Dodge resident Damion Lamont Chavez on charges of 1st Degree Murder And 1st Degree Robbery. Chavez is pictured below as of the time of this report he remained at large. He is described as an African-American male 5ft 11 185 pounds and is considered armed and dangerous. Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward of information leading to his direct whereabouts and apprehension. Anyone with information on Mr. Chavez should contact local law enforcement immediately.
